Pyrography.
The type of artwork you are looking at here is the art of burning images onto wood, leather and other mediums.
The artwork you see here is all done free-hand without the use of computers and/or lasers.
I was given a wood burning pen as a Christmas gift as a kid and burned the supplied etchings in the kit and then put it away.
30 years ago when I started working with spruce burls I remembered that wood burning pen and thought maybe I could enhance the objects I made with some pyrography.
Each piece I turn out is truly a unique item you will not find anywhere else.
