Please click on picture for enlargement Please click on picture for enlargement	Listening to the book 'The Tin Drum' written by Guenther Grass I knew I had to do something with wire. And in the last issue of Wire Jewelry I found a pattern by Francis Harper for a wrapped bead. Here is the result: A necklace with bronze wrapped amethysts and beaded flowers. To taper off the necklace towards the clasp I used rose quartz bicones, also wrapped with bronze wire. The flowers are beaded with purple and pink seed beads and a round rose quartz shines in the center. A piece of bronze wire connects them to the amethysts. And for the s-hook clasp I hammered some bronze wire into shape. I prefer bronze wire over copper, it is a little harder and does not stain the skin green. The necklace is a little on the heavy side with about 6oz. Length: 24" (61cm) Size of amethysts: 3/4" (2cm) Diameter of flowers: 1 1/2" (4.8cm) Earrings: A pair of earrings with copper wrapped Czech fire polished rounds amethyst AB finished, bronze spirals with smaller fire polished rounds and rose quartz beads. Handcrafted bronze ear wire. Length of dangle: 2" (5.1cm) Total length of earrings: 2 3/4" (7cm) All items are unique and available only once. Designed and beaded with Love by Kristine.
